Menkoi Sato: Discover NYC's Ramen Gem for Unforgettable Flavors

The server at my uncle’s age looks like I owe him money. I like ichiran’s ramen and Popeyes fried chicken more.

Fun atmosphere with lots of benches around the store. Might be hard to grab a spot when it’s busy. Prices are very reasonable and orders come out pretty fast. Ramen was decent — the ingredients didn’t work as well as I expected, but the broth was fine and the portion sizes are very large and filling.

This is a small cozy ramen place with 4-5 benches in the seating area. They serve delicious ramen bowls and each category tastes different and unique. The noodles are also very tasty and definitely recommended on a cold winter night. This is a walk in or a take out type of restaurant.

Excellent! This place makes really good, unpretentious ramen. I really like the al dente consistency of the noodles. At some ramen spots, the broth is just too rich and heavy for me. I eat half the bowl, but then feel like I've hit my limit for fat and salt. Menkoi Sato is much more balanced. Their ramen is hearty without being overwhelming. The owner is a nice chap. I see that they closed temporarily. I hope they reopen soon.

A great ramen place with a very large collection of Ramen options, that reminded us of Ramen places we went to in Japan. Full of flavor that is not over powering piping hot and perfect noodles, all in a busy Japanese restaurant like ambience. Definitely recommend. Apart from the classic tonkotsu, shoyu, miso ramen they also have curry ramen, tan tan men, soba etc. Prices per bowl are around $20 and they also have a bunch of rice dishes, appetizers and drinks. We had the limited edition shoyu and curry tan tan men and both were great.

I stopped by this ramen spot around 3pm and had a great experience. The service was friendly and quick, and the ramen was genuinely very good—rich flavor, fresh ingredients, and super satisfying. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend if you’re craving quality ramen!

Second time coming here over the last 2 years of visiting. First time was better, this time was mid. The shoyu (basic) ramen was waaaaaay too salty, although tasty and yummy. The curry chicken was too spicy and also quite salty! There was a lot of bean sprouts mixed into the noodles, so it feels like you get less noodles versus the other bowls. They do have a policy that it is one order per person at least. So order appetizers if you can’t finish one bowl. They are generous portions. Service amazing and friendly.
